Dream #6 - KIDNEY STONE
Jul. 31st, 2024 08:17 pmDespite what the title says, it actually refers to the the title of an unreleased Roblox game. Kidney Stone is the name of a surreal game where you play as a pirate Mirror Man with long arms and shorter legs, you must navigate the character through various landscapes without tripping or falling into the abyss.
The game is created by MUGEN, a popular but controversial (internet drama is SO disorientating) Roblox developer specializing in making surreal games mixed with absurd humor (such as a character named Señor Diego Bernabe who's themed around mexican stereotypes and Taco Bell). Think of them as like fever dreams you have every night and also surrealist paintings come to life, that is the main theme for his game series.
However, because MUGEN has a habit of mysterious disappearing with no reason given (possibly real life stuff needed to be taken care of), his games are rarely ever released. And when they actually do, it will be like the second coming of Jesus Christ to his fanbase.
Anyway, about the dream. In it, I was playing a full version of Kidney Stone that has one too many mechanics. Too many that I can't even list all of them on this entry! Apparently it was multiplayer and my sister was with me. There's even a GUI button named "Cursed Images", which just displays a list of... well, cursed images but I don't remember exactly what are on them.
As of writing this, I recently found out that DVD Man got content deleted by Roblox themselves. This might be a controversial opinion but honestly if Mugen really wants to make original games without disruptions from the creative department of the platform, he should move his stuff onto a different platform and engine. Sure, you would lose some success and wealth in doing so, but at least you can noq make stuff freely without having Roblox dictate your ideas.
