Dream #8 - Snow Globe
Aug. 18th, 2024 09:30 pmLast night, I dreamt that I was holding a snow globe that's for some odd reason themed around The Amazing Digital Circus and had all the characters in it (complete with a backdrop of the tent from the inside). I then noticed that one of Jax's hands/gloves is missing, so I dropped the globe carelessly as it shatters just to buy a new one.
I picked up the globe right after I dropped it, it wasn't fully shattered and only broke a big chunk of the glass. I was then in a hospital waiting room which looks slighty identical to one I saw in another dream years ago. I examined the globe more closely and realized that Jax's hands were actually still there except miscolored, cleating the illusion and I might had regretted it after.
For some odd reason, my dreams seem to now have a trend of including Digital Circus lately. Considering that I'm a fan of it and because of how popular the series really took off after their pilot premiere, it's no wonder why this recognizeable, colorful cast of unwilling circus carnies found their place within the dreamscape and cosmos. Thanks Gooseworx for doing just that and somehow succeeding in it.
I think I just mention my other dream from the past. In it, I was driving in a car late at night when I passed by a tower that looks very identical to Virmir's and far behind was the FAN mall center. Then I found myself in a waiting room of sorts, still at night time.
The room is small and square, it has a carpet, green-blue lightning, two entrances (one at the front which I came from, the other on my left), two chairs or more (one at the back of the room, the other on the right) and two windows (also on the back and right side with the chairs).
The back window showed nothing but darkness and I only looked through the right window. Outside appeared to be the soccer stadium of my neighbourhood illuminated in regular orange lightning. In front of it were overgrown ruins for some reason, and on the left side was a chasm or giant hole between buildings that have windows (the lights were on inside them), on the bottom was complete darkness considering how deep it was.
I have a feeling my dreams just recycled that room for whatever symbolic reasons (there are people who think dreams have meaning, I'm one of them).
As for the theme of throwing something old away and replacing it with a new one might be because of my recent consumerism. After watching Exploding Kittens on Netflix (we have the card game btw), I decided to purchase a mobile adaptation to that card game. The cards in it were very barebones, with fewer illustrations, the absence of NOPE cards along with the replacement of the Attack cards with Slap cards in my opinion and the sound effects they make when played can be a bit annoying.
It was not long after that they announced a sequel to it which stays faithful to the original card game, so I pre-ordered and bought it.
I think I need to calm down in terms of purchasing things, otherwise I may end up regretting throwing something old with minor mistakes that were once thought to be major away.
