I forgot to write an entry for yesterday so I'm going to do both entries in one post.
In yesterday's dream, I was at a mall. Me and my sister were riding an escalator that led to a strange and creepy museum exhibit that looked nothing like one save for the white walls and labels. It was an orchestra type performance except it hadn't started and everyone was missing. The room was dark and there were blue duct tape on the floor, indicating that we weren't allowed to explore further. Suddenly, the perfomance started and a weird costumed person stepped into the room.
The costume looked tall and was very similar to Julien Reverchon (best known as The Rolling Giant from The Oldest View). The figure approached us and we were running down the escalator, clearly creeped out by it. Me and my sister were reunited with our parents and we continued our shopping in the mall. I stumbled upon a jewelry shop stand that have something I was looking for: the very same necklace Cody uses to switch into his aquatic form. So I bought it, then we went home.
Next, the dream just switched to something similar to a Crayon Shin-Chan movie as we were driving at night. We stopped by a small house in the streets that looked nothing to ours. It had a backyard where dad's bed was, the inside was just a hallway with two windows on the left side and two doors on the right. At the end of the hall was a small right turn along with a bunk-bed. There was never a bed for mom though.
My dad talked to me about something like it was a movie, I don't remember what he was saying but it was something along the lines of needing to overcome a major problem and how we should do it before he went to bed.
I woke up from my bunkbed in the middle of night and looked through the front door window to see dad sleeping. I saw that he was surrounded by other characters (including Barnaby from Billie Bust Up), one of them turned his head to face me and I walked away.
Alright that's one dream, another to go.
In last night's dream, I was in a park at daytime as Cody Wolfman. I was walking around the fields, there were people walking their dogs too.
Then I exited the park and it was night time, I found myself playing a game of Exploding Kittens with a stranger inside an opened tent. In it, there were new cards that I never seen before, not like anything from the expansions or other versions. There were fruit cards, for example, whose functionality I don't really remember.
I think I was swimming in my aquatic form too in my dream(?).
Next, it switched to me watching a playthrough video of an older game I know about, Year Walk. It was a game based around the swedish divination tradition known as Arsgang, where participants would face several tests and puzzles as they encounter various supernatural creatures. If all the tests have been completed, their trial concludes with rewarding the participants a vision of the future, whether positive or negative.
The opening I saw in my dream, however, was very different. It had an illustrated cutscene and described how a royal family was graced from the absence of criminals, pirates or hackers for some odd reason.
As I'm writing this, I now have one day left and school will start tomorrow. I miss the past so much, back when it was just a simpler time. I took interested in mythology, the surreal, the unexplained and liminality as a way to escape human reality, something to get lost in for a while, because they reminded me of the past.
Maybe I should play Year Walk sometime.
