Dream #23 - Something In The Woods
It's been a long time since I've written a journal entry but I'll try my best to keep my personal life out of this blog maybe.
For this dream (which is crystal-clear in memory I think), I was watching an obscure ARG/unfiction webseries about someone documenting his exploration into the woods at night. The protagonist had a purple flashlight and the only monster in this series I can recall is a weird puppet creature on all fours (kinda like Mama from that one Silent Hill arcade game but looking like Pinochio). Apparently, this monster came from a mansion but more on that later. The cameraman appears to be looking for something other than the monster I think.
Then it switched to me flipping through various videos on Youtube. I then stumbled upon a lost Mario Plush video (not really) I remember from my childhood that I thought I would never see in the light of day. It was a halloween special thing in which Mario & Luigi go through a haunted house inhabited by Chucky (yes, the doll) to save Princess Peach. But this post is about my dream, not the video, so I'll just skip.
Before I even got to watch that video again, I opened a new tab and clicked on another video. It's a song rendition that I can't recall but it had a creepy animatronic dragon I think. It looked dead on the inside, stuck on a goofy smile for the duration of the song. Near the end however, as I scroll down to the comments, the dragon's face quickly switched to just a vertical mouth with sharp teeth as if zalgofied(?). I checked the channel and the owner apparently makes some FNF renditions too.
Then suddenly, the dream jumpcut to me looking through a certain game developer's portfolio (not saying who) and dancing to some furry art made by the artist while pretending I was as my fursona. The song I danced to is named Mercury by Sub Urban (its beat is catchy as hell).
Then it switched back to the ARG in the beginning. The explorer reached a concert stage of sorts in the woods and then heads somewhere far away into a parking lot with cars (some empty, others aren't as people came out). I was enthused with excitement about this scene. There, he discovers a tall mansion with the look of a cottage and a blue Kami iluminating around the building while floating. He enters the mansion with other people.
The inside of the mansion is actually a Little Nightmares-themed escape room/haunted house attraction, with a skeleton receptionist welcoming everyone and have them sign a contract. The skeleton appears to be forgetting something until he remembers and rushes to a skeleton couple with japanese-style talismans on their foreheads who had just get out of a room alive like there was something dangerous they avoided there. The receptionist takes the husband's talisman as he vanishes, leaving the wife confused and alone. With the talisman in hand (apparently about to put it on our foreheads), he had them sign the contract.
The dreams ends on a sudden positive note however, as it jumpcuts to me and my dad checking out a new museum in our neighbourhood (it was like that one Big Fun Museum we went to in Barcelona) but before we even got to start our tour, I woke up and got ready for another dreadful day at special education school with the cult.
Yes, I no longer like it there...
